Tottenham have confirmed that Roberto Soldado has left the north London club for Spanish side Villarreal.
The striker moved to Spurs two years ago following Gareth Bale's big-money switch to Real Madrid, but after a bright start to life in London, failed to settle in England.
Soldado bagged just seven league goals over two seasons at the club, though his goals did win Spurs a further 12 points.
However, after Harry Kane's emergence as first choice frontman, Spurs have opted to cash in on Soldado, with the former Valencia captain penning a three-year deal with the Yellow Submarines.
