Valencia have confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach Marcelino, who took charge of the club ahead of the 2017/18 season.
In that time the 54-year-old oversaw successive fourth place finishes, subsequently securing Champions League qualification in each of his two years at the club.
Los Ches are set to embark on their latest European campaign with a trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next Tuesday, though before that they travel to face LaLiga champions Barcelona on Saturday.

Marcelino will be replaced by Albert Celades, who the Spanish outfit have confirmed has been handed a contract running until July 2021.
The new boss has never managed a club in top-flight football before, acting as coach through various youth levels with the Spain national team before taking up a position as assistant to Julen Lopetegui before following him to Real Madrid.
Valencia released a statement on their official website, saying: “Valencia CF have informed Marcelino García Toral of their decision to relieve him of his duties as first team coach, effective as of this Wednesday.
“The club wish to thank Marcelino for his hard work and dediction during his time as coach, and wish him the best of success for the future.”
During his reign only Barcelona (five) and Atletico Madrid (11) lost fewer league matches than Marcelino’s Valencia.
