Morgan Schneiderlin forced to wait for Everton debut
Morgan Schneiderlin will have to wait for his Everton debut after being named as a substitute for their clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
The France international made the £20m switch from Manchester United earlier in the week and is expected to be a fixture in Ronald Koeman’s starting XI for the rest of the season.
However, having only joined his new teammates later in the week, Schneiderlin has only been named as a substitute as the Toffees look to get their season back on track against City.
Koeman has instead opted to reward teenage midfielder Tom Davies with another start after he was one of few bright spots in Everton's FA Cup third round exit against Leicester last weekend, partnering him in front of a back three with the experienced Gareth Barry.
In the last five Premier League campaigns Schneiderlin has completed more tackles and interceptions combined than any other player (772).
