Paris Saint-Germain targeting Arsenal star

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring Alexis Sanchez’s contract talks with Arsenal with a view to making a blockbuster move for the forward in the summer, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Sanchez, 28, has been locked in contract talks with the Gunners since the start of the season but the Premier League outfit have failed to convince their star asset to commit his long-term future to the club.

A combination of wage demands and the ability to challenge for titles has reportedly called Sanchez’ commitment at the club into question and PSG are ready to ponce on the situation if Arsenal fail to make a breakthrough in talks before the end of the season.

Sanchez will only have 12 months remaining on his existing deal in the summer and Arsenal will be forced to cash in on the Chile international if he fails to over assurances over his future at the club.

Manchester City and Chelsea have been regularly linked with a move for Sanchez already this season but Arsenal would rather sell Sanchez to team outside the Premier League than a main rival if they are forced to part ways with the ex-Barcelona forward.

Sanchez has been in tremendous form this season and has played a direct hand in 20 goals in as many Premier League appearances this term.
