Valencia put €65m price tag on Gomes’ head

Valencia have valued Andre Gomes at €65m (£53m) in an attempt to ward off interest from Barcelona, Manchester United and Juventus this summer, report Spanish outlet AS.

Gomes, 23, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Mestalla this summer and Valencia have already reportedly rejected bids from United and Juventus.

Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez is alleged to be obsessed with the idea of signing the technically gifted midfielder but their interest could now be dead in the water given their financial constraints.

Gomes completed more dribbles than any other player for Valencia in the league last season (55) and only Joao Mario and Renato Sanches (both 9) have completed more for Portugal at Euro 2016 thus far (Gomes – 6).
