Athletic Club defender Aymeric Laporte has cooled speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, reports AS.
Laporte, 21, reportedly has a £35m release clause in his current deal, which United and Barcelona have been consider matching in recent transfer windows.
However, the Spainish central defender insists he is happy with life at Athletic Club and is targeting silverware with his boyhood club.
“My name is mentioned in every transfer window and with a lot of teams,” Laporte is quoted as saying by AS.
“I’ve renewed four times with Athletic. I’ve done what I wanted. I’ve shown confidence in the club and them in me. Let’s see if we can add more trophies.”
Since completing his first full league season for the club in 2013/14, only five other players have completed more tackles and interceptions combined than Laporte (374).
