Harry Kane drops huge hint about future amid Real Madrid talk
Harry Kane has revealed he would love to be a one-man club by finishing his career at Tottenham amid speculation linking the striker with a move to Real Madrid.
The England international has been heavily linked with a stunning £150m move to Madrid at the end of the season after playing some of the best football of his career in the last two months.
Kane has previously admitted to being interested in playing abroad at one stage in his career, but has now suggested he would be willing to stay at Tottenham for the rest of his career if the club continue in the direction they are heading.
“I’d love to be a one-club man,” The Daily Mirror quote Kane as saying. “It depends on how the club goes forward and managers et cetera, but I’ve said I want to stay to here, as we’re in a great place at the moment.
“The training centre is amazing, the new stadium is coming, the manager is fantastic and we’ve got a young team. So it’s great. For me, it’s just about winning - improving and trying to win trophies. When my career is finished, that’s what I want to look back on and be proud of so hopefully that will be the case.”
Kane has been with Tottenham since 2004 but never looked destined to break into the first-team after four very underwhelming loan moves away during the early stages of his career.
However, the 24-year-old is now one of the best players in the Premier League and is on the brink of being considered world class.
Only Neymar (9.42) and Lionel Messi (8.88) have a higher WhoScored rating in the Champions League than Kane (8.74) this season, while only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored as many goals (both 5).
