Forest confirm arrival of controversial ex-Arsenal striker

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has confirmed the Championship outfit have signed Nicklas Bendtner on a free transfer.

Bendtner, 28, has been out of contract since being released by German side Wolfsburg in March.

Forest have been in talks with the former Arsenal striker and have now announced his arrival on a two-year deal.

Bendtner has only scored three goals in his last 32 league appearances.
