Tottenham consider sensational summer swoop for Manchester United target

Tottenham are pondering a £80m move for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala, reports the London Evening Standard.

Spurs have already made Tanguy Ndombele their club-record signing following his big money arrival from Lyon, but are prepared to smash that again as we enter the final two weeks of the summer window.

Dybala has been linked with a move to Manchester United, with Juventus prepared to sanction his sale after a disappointing campaign.

The Argentine has become marginalised at the Old Lady following the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo last year as he bagged just five league goals for the Serie A champions.

And while United have been courting the 25-year-old, Spurs believe a deal can be struck before the close of the transfer window in two weeks’ time.

However, it’s also rumoured that Spurs’ publicised interest in Dybala is to force Real Betis’ hand, with the north London side still keen on fellow Argentine Giovani Lo Celso.

Dybala’s current deal at Juventus runs until 2022 and his wage wouldn’t break the current structure in place at Spurs, with the Standard stating the striker currently earns £120,000-per-week in Italy.
