Diego Costa could leave Chelsea in January, reports the Independent.
The same paper suggests that manager Jose Mourinho is planning on adding two forward additions when the transfer window re-opens, with the Blues boss keen to improve on the club's poor start to their title defence.
Chelsea currently sit 16th in England's top tier, just three points clear of the relegation zone and Mourinho is looking to reshuffle his playing squad following a disappointing start to the season.
As such, Costa could indeed leave Stamford Bridge in the New Year, with Barcelona rumoured to be considering a move for the Spain international.
The west London side have since identified Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann as a possible addition to the squad should Costa leave.
The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a switch to England in the past, though Atletico would be loathe to losing their prized asset.
