Barcelona enter race for Inter target Eriksen

Barcelona have expressed an interest in signing Tottenham wantaway Christian Eriksen, claims Sky Sports.

Eriksen has entered the final six months of his current Tottenham deal and has made it clear he wants to leave.

The Denmark international has turned down Manchester United's interest and has his sights set on securing a move abroad.

Inter have been the frontrunners to sign Eriksen all month but have struggled to convince Tottenham to lower their €20m valuation of the 27-year-old.

Antonio Conte's side may now be forced to accelerate their pursuit of Eriksen with Barcelona now interested in the creative midfielder.

Eriksen has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Inter but his preference in the summer was to to sign for Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Eriksen has made 20 appearances in the Premier League this season, though only half of those have been starts. He only has two goals and two assists in that time.

Since August 2016, only Kevin De Bruyne (51) has registered more assists than Eriksen (39) in the Premier League.
