United boss demands club move for promising Spaniard

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has demanded the club make a move for midfielder Saul Niguez this summer, reports the Daily Star.

The Spain international only recently penned a new deal with Atletico Madrid, but Mourinho is hoping to bolster the squad with the youngster when the transer window re-opens.

Saul Niguez gained a WhoScored rating of 7.37 in La Liga this season, enough to earn a place in WhoScored's young team of the season.

Mourinho has discussed possible transfer targets with United chief executive Ed Woodward, with Saul, who can play in midfield or out wide, top of the Portuguese manager's most wanted list.
