Brentford are in talks with Tottenham over the potential loan signing of Sergio Reguilon, reports the Daily Mail.
Reguilon moved to Manchester United last summer to provide cover for Luke Shaw but his loan was cut short by Spurs earlier this month.
The 27-year-old started just four league games for United with Spurs prepared to let the Spaniard leave again in January in order to garner regular first team action.
The Bees need cover at left-back due to long-term injuries to Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey, with midfielder Vitaly Janelt and winger Saman Ghoddos providing cover in the role in the absence of the former pair.
Reguilon is unlikely to feature at all for Spurs in the second half of the season were he to remain at the club beyond the January transfer window with Destiny Udogie and right-back Emerson Royal ahead of the former Sevilla man in the pecking order.
The Spanish left-back hasn't featured in any capacity for the north London side since the 2021/22 campaign having spent last season on loan with La Liga side Atletico Madrid, though he struggled for minutes back in the Spanish captial having started just two league games.
Brentford have also been linked with January moves for Renan Lodi and Luke Thomas as they look to reinforce their defence following a five-game losing run.
