Juventus give up in race to land Manchester United midfielder
Juventus have thrown in the towel in their efforts to re-sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United, reports Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.
Pogba left Juventus to return to Old Trafford in 2016, but has cast a divisive figure at United having struggled to leave a lasting positive impression among supporters.
As such, the France international is expected to leave United this summer with a big money move to Real Madrid on the cards.
Juventus had hoped to rival Real Madrid for Pogba, but have since given up in their quest to bring Pogba back to Turin.
The Old Lady are expected to make a couple of high-profile sales this summer, with Adrien Rabiot among those linked with a move away from the Serie A champions.
United have been linked with a move for Rabiot and it could be that Juventus look to use the Frenchman as a makeweight to land Pogba.
However, Juventus are aware they are behind Los Blancos in their bid to land the 27-year-old with Pogba eager to link up with compatriot Zinedine Zidane in Spain.
Pogba has made just seven league appearances for United this season with injury hindering his game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
