AC Milan make move for Liverpool and Arsenal target
Serie A giants AC Milan may continue their summer investment with the capture of Emil Forsberg once the transfer window opens, writes Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Forsberg enjoyed a hugely impressive Bundesliga campaign with RB Leipzig, who finished the season in second place in their debut in Germany’s top tier.
The Sweden international, who was in action against France on Friday night, was instrumental in RB Leipzig's fine season, registering more assists (19) than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues.
Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, yet could now face competition from the Italian giants should they firm up their interest in the creative star.
AC Milan have already spent big this summer to secure the services of Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessie and Ricardo Rodriguez from Villarreal, Atalanta and Wolfsburg, respectively.
And they may now turn their attention to Forsberg, though RB Leipzig are keen to keep the core of their squad together as they gear up for their debut campaign in the Champions League.
