Tottenham have earmarked emerging West Ham star Declan Rice as a top summer transfer target, claims The Daily Express.
Mauricio Pochettino has made a new signing in over 12 months but will have money to spend at the end of the season.
The Tottenham manager wants to bolster his ranks in a number of positions and has set his sights on landing Rice from London rivals West Ham.
Rice has been a revelation for the Hammers this season and has flourished in a defensive midfield position under Manuel Pellegrini.
The 20-year-old put questions about his West Ham future to bed by signing a new long-term deal in December but the Hammers will have to brace themselves for interest in the summer.
Tottenham are reportedly plotting a £35m for Rice at the end of the season, though it would be a huge shock if West Ham sanctioned his departure to their fiercest rivals.
Of players aged 21 and under in Europe’s top five leagues this season, only three have made more tackles than Rice (58).
