United were one of the least creative sides in the Premier League last season and Mourinho has identified this area as one in need of improvement, with Pjanic fitting the bill perfectly.
No player registered more assists in Serie A last season than Pjanic (12), who was one of two players - along with Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne - to register double figures for both goals and assists last term.
