RB Leipzig back in for Everton starlet

RB Leipzig have reignited their interest in Everton starlet Ademola Lookman, claims BBC Sport.

The Bundesliga outfit had Lookman on loan during the second half of 2017/18 campaign and the England Under-21 international made a real impression in Germany.

Leipzig wanted to sign Lookman permanently last summer and were even willing to spend £20m on his signature but Everton were not looking to cash in on the 21-year-old.

Lookman is highly rated by Everton but failed to break into Marco Silva’s plans last season and Leipzig are ready to test the club’s resolve once again.

Lookman has been included in Everton’s pre-season tour of Switzerland but Leipzig are intent on signing the winger.

The Everton starlet made 21 league appearances last season, though only three of those came as starts and he managed two assists in that time.

It was on loan at Leipzig where Lookman was starting to realise his potential after playing a direct hand in eight goals in 11 league appearances (five goals, three assists).
