Eriksen close to bumper new deal

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is on the verge of agreeing a new £75,000-a-week deal, according to The London Evening Standard.

Eriksen, 24, has been locked in contract discussions for the best part of 12 months having initially rejected their opening offer.

The Denmark international is currently on £50,000-a-week but wants to be aligned with the club’s highest earners.

However, there has been a breakthrough in negotiations and Eriksen is reportedly due to put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
