Athletic Club have announced star forward Inaki Williams has put pen to paper on a stunning nine-year deal running until the summer of 2028.
Williams emerged as a surprise deadline day target for Manchester United last week, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sought a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
Spanish media claimed United were willing to trigger Williams’ €88m (£81.5m) release clause.
United opted against signing a replacement for Lukaku and now Athletic Club have secured Williams’ long-term future with a new €135m (£125m) buy-out clause.
The 25-year-old has spent the last five years as a first-team player for Athletic and has emerged as one of their best players in recent seasons.
Williams played a direct hand in 17 goals in 38 league appearances for Athletic Club last season (13 goals, four assists), his best return in a single-league campaign in his career.
