Pick 4 Premier League winners for a guaranteed share of £20k
Following the release of WhoScored.com Survivor, the first round of games takes place this weekend. The concept is simple - pick a team to win a match each round, and if your team wins; you're through to the next round. Survive to round five, and share 50% of the prize pool. Survive the longest, and you WIN 50% of the prize pool.
However, there is a catch... you can only pick each team once during the game, so if you think Manchester City will thump Brighton this weekend, then by all means pick City to win... but then you can't use them again in the game, so you need to choose carefully.
Earlier this week, we showed off what WhoScored.com Survivor is, now we take a look at the weekend's games to determine the best team to back to help you win big...
Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool
The early kick off to get the gameweek going, Nottingham Forest host Liverpool in Saturday's lunchtime clash. A 0-0 draw with Brighton saw Forest's winless run extend to nine games, and they remain bottom of the Premier League. After a rocky start to the season, meanwhile, Liverpool have won back-to-back league games and they do look to be getting back on track, notably by getting the best out of Darwin Nunez. They will fancy their chances of earning a third league win on the trot at Forest's expense.
Survivor Prediction: Liverpool Win
Manchester City's midweek meeting with Arsenal was postponed, so they have had extra time to prepare for Saturday's welcome of Brighton. City have won five of the last six games between the pair, scoring at least three times in four of those five. Brighton's inability to score is proving their undoing, and they are yet to win under Roberto De Zerbi, picking up two points from 12 available.
Survivor Prediction: Manchester City Win
With Southampton really up against it, they sprung an upset by beating Bournemouth to end a five-game winless run. They have won just once at home this season, however. League leaders Arsenal have won nine of their opening 10 matches in 2022/23 and lead the way in England's top tier. They don't have a great recent record at St. Mary's, winning two of the last five, but the recent head-to-head record at Southampton suggests an away win.
Survivor Prediction: Arsenal Win
If you fancy waiting the weekend, West Ham see out the gameweek when they host Bournemouth on Monday night. The Hammers have won their last four in all competitions at the London Stadium, and beat the Cherries 4-0 when these two last met in east London. Bournemouth saw their unbeaten start under Gary O'Neil end against Southampton in midweek as they lost 1-0 on home turf. They have conceded the second most away goals in the Premier League this season, with 18.
Survivor Prediction: West Ham Win
