Still undecided what footballers to add to your portfolio? Football INDEX even provides users with a handy tool to help you make more informed decisions on trending players, located at the top right hand side of the home page. Share prices can also increase based on the media attention a player receives on any given day of trading.
After running through the biggest market risers on Tuesday, here we run through our five players to add to your portfolio ahead of the weekend.
TIEMOUE BAKAYOKO – CHELSEA (BUY)
Tiemoue Bakayoko has endured a terrible start to life at Chelsea and his poor form has sparked rumours that Monaco are considering a return for the Frenchman. The Ligue 1 side sold the France international to the Blues last summer and are reportedly prepared to offer him an escape route out of Stamford Bridge.
Bakayoko’s buy price is £0.73 per share on Football INDEX but that may rise should Monaco firm up their supposed interest in the 23-year-old when the transfer window opens. With Antonio Conte also expected to leave at the end of the season, it could provide a new lease of life in Bakayoko, which could see him rediscover his best form. With the player down on his luck at the moment, he could be a handy moneymaker in the long run whether Chelsea cash in on him or not.
ALFIE MAWSON – SWANSEA (BUY)
Despite Swansea’s faltering form at the wrong end of the table, Alfie Mawson is one who is routinely linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium. West Ham have been monitoring the youngster for some time now, while Manchester United are now believed to be eyeing up the defender.
Mawson presently boasts an affordable buy price of £1.29 per share on Football INDEX and he could be a handy addition to your portfolio. Premier League teams will be keeping tabs on the impressive youngster and his profile will be boosted significantly if the Swans consolidate their Premier League place. Relegation may kick off a scramble for his signature, so it could be a win-win with shares in Mawson.
RUBEN NEVES – WOLVES (BUY)
A goal of the season contender on Wednesday night has prompted a surge in Ruben Neves’ buy price, with that rising 39.68% over the last 24 hours on Football INDEX. However, that shouldn’t deter you from adding the Portugal international to your portfolio.
A buy price of £2.26 per share, admittedly, is steep, but his is a trajectory that will only go up. Neves has been one of the stand out performers in the Championship this season and with the World Cup looming, interest in his signature is likely to increase over the coming weeks. Whether he’s plying his trade for Wolves next season or another Premier League team next season, it remains to be seen, but Neves is certainly worth a gamble.
LAYVIN KURZAWA – PSG (BUY)
With the season coming to a close, PSG can win the title this weekend should they avoid defeat against defending champions Monaco. It’ll be another chance for Layvin Kurzawa to prove he was right to leave Monaco for the Ligue 1 leaders, but even then, the left-back may not have a future at the Parc des Princes beyond the summer.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a Premier League switch this summer, with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham supposedly interested in the 25-year-old. The pair are expected to add a new left-back to their squad when the transfer window opens and while Kurzawa hasn’t been at his best this term, he could prove a profitable addition to your portfolio at just £1.05 per share on Football INDEX.
HARRY WILSON – HULL (BUY)
Harry Wilson has been in flying form for Hull following his arrival from Liverpool on loan for the rest of the season. The 21-year-old has now had a direct hand eight goals, scoring five, since his move to the KCOM Stadium and of players to registered at least five goals and assists combined this term, only teammate Abel Hernandez (every 71.4 minutes) is having a direct hand in a goal more frequently than Wilson (every 79.4 minutes) in the Championship this term.
He’s trading at £0.78 per share on Football INDEX at present, but that could well rise over the coming weeks as he continues to shine for Hull. A return to Liverpool is on the cards at the end of the campaign and if Jurgen Klopp elects to use him on a regular basis, Wilson could be the next Reds star to make an impact on Merseyside.
