After running through the five biggest market risers on Tuesday, here we tip the players you should look to add to your portfolio ahead of the weekend’s action.
WILFRIED ZAHA – BUY
When Wilfried Zaha doesn’t start, Crystal Palace lose, that goes without saying. The Eagles are yet to win without the Ivorian in the starting XI in the Premier League this season, but have been able to count on his good form in recent weeks. Zaha was named the WhoScored.com Premier League player of the month after netting four times in April.
Palace aren’t yet safe from relegation, but have two incredibly winnable fixtures to see out the campaign against Stoke and West Brom. Roy Hodgson is yet to oversee a loss to a team currently in the bottom half of the table since taking charge, with Zaha his star man. Should the 25-year-old maintain his good form, rumours of a potential summer exit will do the rounds and while his buy price on Football INDEX is £2.54 per share, he’s one to add to your portfolio.
BRUNO FERNANDES – BUY
Bruno Fernandes has been in flying form for Sporting Clube following his return to Portugal last summer, netting 11 goals and adding eight assists. His good form has caught the eye of a number of Premier League suitors and Football INDEX users to boot.
Over the last seven days, Fernandes’ buy price has risen 30.22% per share, but don’t let that deter you. With the World Cup looming, and the 23-year-old set to make Fernando Santos’ squad for Russia 2018, there is still a chance to make a profit on Fernandes. A successful World Cup will increase interest in his signature and at £1.62 per share, you should hoover up as many as possible.
JACK BUTLAND – BUY
Had it not been for Jack Butland, Stoke would be as good as relegated. The England international has made more saves (133) than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League this season and the Potters will be forever grateful to the 25-year-old if they can beat the drop.
That being said, Butland is a goalkeeper who can expect to be playing in the Premier League next season, with or without Stoke. A number of Premier League sides have been credited with an interest in the Stoke shotstopper, as have Championship winners Wolves, and with a spot in the England squad all but guaranteed, a buy price of £1.10 per share in Football INDEX is too good to pass up.
MEMPHIS DEPAY – BUY
To say Memphis Depay was in stunning form in April would be a grave understatement. The Dutch attacker scored six goals and registered six assists from five appearances and was duly named the WhoScored.com Ligue 1 player of the month.
His excellent showings for Lyon has seen Depay’s buy price increase by 13.72% over the last seven days, but that could well increase further, so be sure to capitalise on a buy price of £2.08 per share on Football INDEX. Indeed, Lyon will be confident of extending their seven-match winning run against Troyes at the weekend with the 24-year-old set to play a key role once more.
ALEKSANDAR MITROVIC – BUY
Fulham have been excellent since the turn of the year and a 23-match unbeaten run means they stand a chance of automatic promotion as the campaign comes to a head. Key to their surge up the Championship table has been January loan arrival Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has scored more goals (12) than any other player in England’s second tier in 2018.
His flying goalscoring form has not gone unnoticed with Football INDEX users, with the Serb’s share price increasing 6.30% over the last seven days. With a spot in Serbia’s World Cup squad a nigh-on certainty and the striker set to be playing Premier League football next season regardless of Fulham's looming matches, a buy price of £1.01 per share is well worth looking into.
