Man City vs Arsenal: Injury news and form guide for Single Game Survivor
There are title-deciders, and then there are title-deciders.
Back in August, no one would have predicted that Manchester City's welcome of Arsenal on April 26th would decide the destiny of the Premier League title.
But that’s what will likely happen on Wednesday, as the two teams battle it out at the Etihad.
It pits Pep Guardiola against his former underling Mikel Arteta, with the latter holding the edge this term.
But a spluttering run of form from the Gunners has seen City charge back into contention, and though they will sit five points behind at kick-off, they have two games in hand.
Can Jack Grealish get the better of Rob Holding down the City left? And can Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji keep Gabriel Jesus quiet on his return to Manchester?
We can’t wait to find out…
Injuries
Not much to report for City, with Nathan Ake the only doubt for the encounter.
The Dutch defender missed the FA Cup win over Sheffield United, but could return here after a leg problem.
His absence would be advantage Arsenal, with his one v one defending down the left a big miss for Guardiola’s side.
For the Gunners, Takehiro Tomiyasu is already out for the season with a knee injury, and Mohamed Elneny is also on the sidelines long-term.
Granit Xhaka missed Arsenal’s draw with Southampton with illness, but could come back into Arteta’s XI at the Etihad.
Form
Here are the two sides’ results from their last five matches in the Premier League.
