Takehiro Tomiyasu

Japanese full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu is yet to make an appearance for Arsenal following a knee injury sustained in pre-season training back in July.

Tomiyasu is expected to remain absent for Wednesday's welcome of Bolton, but should be returning to full fitness by the end of the month.

Kieran Tierney

Gunners left-back Kieran Tierney remains sidelined after picking up a hamstring injury while away with Scotland at the summer’s European Championship.

At present, there is no defined return date for the Scotsman, who continues to work on his recovery with the aim of eventually forcing his way into Mikel Arteta’s plans this season.

Riccardo Calafiori

Summer signing Riccardo Calafiori made his full debut for Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, netting a fine first half equaliser. The Italian was forced off at Manchester City, though Mikel Arteta has played down the seriousness of the issue. He is unlikely to be risked against Bolton, however.

Jurrien Timber

Another who came off late on against Manchester City, Jurrien Timber is set to be rested in midweek and should return for the welcome of Leicester.

Mikel Merino

After completing his move from Real Sociedad in the final week of the summer transfer window, Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino suffered a shoulder injury in his first Arsenal training session.

Given the nature of his injury, the Euro 2024 winner is expected to remain sidelined until the end of October.

Martin Odegaard

In perhaps the biggest blow yet for the Gunners, captain Martin Odegaard suffered an ankle sprain during Norway’s win over Austria during the international break. Odegaard will be out for a sustained period with the issue.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Oleksandr Zinchenko hasn't featured for Arsenal since the 1-1 draw with Brighton back in August owing to a calf issue and there is no timeframe set for his return.

Tommy Setford

Currently absent owing to an unspecified injury picked up a few weeks ago and won't be fit for the welcome of Bolton.

David Raya

Complained of a knee injury towards the end of the 2-2 draw with Manchester City and even with no senior backup, may not be risked for Wednesday's EFL Cup game.

Neto

Cup-tied having played for former side Bournemouth earlier in the competition.

Leandro Trossard

Leandro Trossard is suspended following his first half red card in the 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Sunday. He'll be available for the meeting with Leicester this weekend, however.
