Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is ready to beef up his offensive options with the surprise signature of Burnley striker Andre Gray, reports The Daily Mail.
Gray has been on Tottenham’s radar since 2016 though have never managed to convince the Clarets of selling their star striker until they have established themselves as a Premier League side.
The 25-year-old joined Burnley from Brentford has a £6m deal in 2015 but will only have 12 months remaining on his existing deal in the summer and Pochettino is ready to be lured to the White Hart Lane.
Pochettino is still concerned at the pressure on Harry Kane when leading the line and Vincent Janssen has failed to convince he can prove a capable understudy this season having only scored his first Premier League goal from open play a few weeks ago.
Gray has scored eight goals in the Premier League for Burnley this season – no other teammate has scored more.
