Pep Guardiola has given Manchester City a huge boost after intimating he is open to extending his contract beyond 2019, claims The Daily Mail.
City have made a flying start to the season and are currently eight points clear of their nearest rivals in the Premier League.
Guardiola is approaching the halfway point of his three-year deal but the Spaniard is happy at the club and sees no reason why he would not prolong his stay.
The 46-year-old’s only focus at the moment is to continue winning and collecting silverware on the way and contract talks with City are not planned until the end of the season at the very earliest.
City are the runaway leaders in the Premier League and look to cantering to their first league title since 2014.
The Premier League giants have scored 38 goals in 11 matches this season, at least 15 more than any other side in England’s top flight.
