Former England manager on Crystal Palace radar

Crystal Palace have earmarked a move for former England manager Roy Hodgson if they sack Frank de Boer, reports The Daily Mail.

The Eagles became the first side in 93 years to lose their first four Premier League matches without scoring after slipping to a 1-0 defeat away to Burnley this weekend.

Sunday’s match against the Clarets was billed as a must win for De Boer and he is now expected to be sacked despite an improved performance from his side.

Hodgson is reportedly one of the names on Palace’s list of potential replacements, but the 70-year-old hasn’t managed at club level since 2012.

The former Liverpool, West Brom and Fulham manager has been out of work since being sacked as England manager at the end of Euro 2016.

Palace are currently three points adrift of safety and will drop to the foot of the table if West Ham can take at least a point away from their home match with Huddersfield on Monday evening.
