Arsenal target could be on the move this summer

Thomas Tuchel could leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season after falling out with a number of board members and players, reports Bild, via Get German Football.

The Dortmund manager is widely regarded as one of the most exciting up-and-coming head coaches in Europe having elevated his status in the game since replacing Jurgen Klopp at the Westfalenstadion in 2015.

Tuchel ran Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich very close in the Bundesliga last season but things haven’t gone as smoothly in his second campaign at the club, and now there are reports of unrest at all levels of the club.

The 43-year-old has reportedly fallen out with several members of the board, including Dortmund chairman Reinhard Rauball, CEO Hans-Joachim Watke, sporting director Michael Zorc and chief scout Sven Mislintat.

Not only that, but Tuchel has reportedly lost trust in several of the Dortmund players and is becoming increasingly isolated at the club with a summer exit now on the cards 12 months before his contract is due to expire.

Arsenal target could be on the move this summer

Tuchel had emerged as a suitor for Arsenal earlier in the season when it appeared Arsene Wenger was on his way out of the club. Wenger still hasn't announced whether he will stay on beyond the end of the current campaign but news of Tuchel's potential availability could play a part.

Tuchel’s Dortmund finished last season with 78 points in the Bundesliga and scored more goals (82) than Guardiola’s Bayern (80). However, they will fall 12 points short of that total if they win their last two league games of the season and will are currently 13 goals adrift of Bayern (80).
