Norwich value former Arsenal and Man Utd target at £50m

Norwich will command up to £50m for highly rated centre-back Ben Godfrey this summer even if they are relegated from the Premier League, claims Sky Sports.

The Canaries are 10 points adrift of safety with 12 left to play for and it's now a matter of when rather than if they beat the drop.

Daniel Farke's side have lost all five league matches since the restart and are bracing themselves for offers this summer for their best players.

Emiliano Buendia and Todd Cantwell are expected to get plenty of interest from Premier League sides, while Godfrey is another on the radar of some top clubs.

The 22-year-old has previously been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United and has done well during his maiden Premier League campaign.

However, Norwich are determined to command towards £50m for the England Under-21 international, though that seems unlikely.

Transfer valuations have been tipped to tumble as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and Norwich's bargaining hand will be weakened by relegation.

The youngster has impressively completed 78.6% of his attempted tackles in the Premier League this season, dribbled past on only six occasions.
