Manchester United target categorically not for sale
Manchester United’s interest in Harry Kane may prove short lived with word coming from Tottenham that their star striker is not for sale at any price this summer, reports ESPN.
Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting Jose Mourinho had told United to explore the possibility of signing Kane for a world record deal in excess of £100m as he looks to revamp his strike force for next season.
However, United will have to pursue alternatives as Tottenham have refused to even put a valuation on Kane’s head, as he is simply not for sale at any price.
Kane has established into one of the best strikers in the Premier League in the last few years and has even been tipped to replace United captain Wayne Rooney as England skipper.
The 23-year-old only signed a new long-term deal in December and has previously revealed he would like to stay at his boyhood club for the rest of his career if they can continue to remain competitive.
Kane has finished each of the last two Premier League seasons as the top goalscorer, becoming the first player to achieve the feat at the same club since Thierry Henry managed it at Arsenal from 2004-2006.
