Spurs outcast linked with Swans switch

Swansea are readying an £8m move for out of favour Tottenham attacker Alex Pritchard, reports the Daily Mirror.

The 23-year-old managed just 67 minutes of Premier League action for Spurs and on loan at West Brom last season, with manager Mauricio Pochettino confirming on Monday he, along with Nabil Benatleb and Federico Fazio, is free to leave this summer.

“The situation of the other three players - Bentaleb, Fazio and Pritchard - is very clear. They are not in my plans and they know. I have communicated with them and it was made very clear. It's not a problem. They know the situation and we'll see what happens,” Pochettino is quoted as saying by ESPN.

Swansea are now keen to rescue Pritchard’s career, with the south Wales side looking to bolster their options this summer.

Spurs outcast linked with Swans switch

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been strongly linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium this summer, with Everton and Leicester both credited with an interest in the Iceland international.

A host of Championship sides are exploring the option of taking Pritchard on loan, but with Spurs looking to sell the attacker permanently, Swansea are supposedly in pole position to land the youngster.

The Swans had hoped to take Pritchard on loan in January prior to his move to West Brom.
