Manchester United plan contract talks with Rashford
Manchester United plan to sit down with Marcus Rashford after the 2018 World Cup to discuss a new contract, claims The Sun.
Rashford has two years remaining on his existing United deal but Jose Mourinho’s side want to secure his long-term future as soon as possible.
The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe but has been linked with a move away from United in the last six months.
Many believe Rashford is stagnating under Mourinho and in order to reach his potential he needs to escape the current United manager.
Rashford has struggled for regular playing time since Alexis Sanchez’s arrival in January but Mourinho still has big plans for the United academy graduate.
United are keen to secure Rashford on a new long-term deal in order to end speculation about his future and are even willing to offer £130,000-a-week.
Rashford made 51 appearances in all competitions for United last season, netting 16 goals for the Red Devils.
