Manchester United slap £35m price tag on midfielder
Manchester United are willing to sell Henrikh Mkhitaryan but will demand at least £35m for his signature, claims The Daily Mail.
Jose Mourinho has ran out of patience with Mkhitaryan and dropped the Armenia international from eight of United’s last eight matchday squads.
The 28-year-old joined United from Borussia Dortmund in a £27m deal in 2016 but has endured a turbulent time since then and now Mourinho is prepared to sell the creative midfielder.
Inter have already registered an interest in Mkhitaryan but Financial Fair Play pressures may ruin their hopes for a January move.
However, United may look to use Mkhitaryan as bait to lure Joao Mario or Ivan Perisic away from the Serie A giants having been linked with a move for both players this season.
No United player has registered more assists in the Premier League this season than Mkhitaryan (5) despite the fact he hasn’t set up a league goal since August.
