Manchester United ready £50m move for Chelsea and Liverpool target

Manchester United have opened talks with Sporting over a summer move for Chelsea and Liverpool target Bruno Fernandes, according to A Bola via the Metro. 

Fernandes was tipped to be on the cusp of a Sporting exit last year, but elected to remain with the Liga NOS powerhouse. 

Sporting currently sit 10 points off top spot in Portugal’s top tier, with fierce Lisbon rivals Benfica leading the way in Liga NOS. 

Fernandes is looking increasingly likely to leave Sporting this summer, with Chelsea and Liverpool keen on the 24-year-old. 

However, United are now hoping to steal a march on their Premier League rivals in the race to sign the Portuguese star and are readying a £50m move for Fernandes. 

Fernandes has continued to prove just why he has been so routinely linked with a move to England this season having scored 12 and registered nine assists in Portugal’s top tier this term. 

His flying form has seen him return a WhoScored rating of 7.74 this season, that better than any other player in Liga NOS.
