Bayern Munich have had a fresh approach for Callum Hudson-Odoi turned down by Chelsea, claims The Daily Mirror.
Hudson-Odoi only has one year left to run on his current Chelsea deal and has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern for the last six months.
Bayern were prepared to make Hudson-Odoi one of the most expensive players in their history in January but had several bids turned down by the Premier League outfit.
Bayern have earmarked the likes of Hudson-Odoi and Leroy Sane as long-term replacements for departing duo Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Hudson-Odoi, who will miss the start of next season with an Achilles injury, wanted to join Bayern in January after growing disillusioned about a lack of playing time under former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
However, Sarri returned to Italy earlier this month and Chelsea are growing increasingly confident of securing the teenager’s future with a fresh five-year deal.
Former midfielder Frank Lampard is due to replace Sarri as Chelsea manager and is expected to make Hudson-Odoi a key part of his team in the wake of Eden Hazard’s move to Real Madrid.
That hasn’t stopped Bayern from making a new enquiry for the England international but Chelsea insist he is not for sale despite the fact he could still leave for nothing at the end of next season.
Hudson-Odoi played a direct hand in six goals in nine Europa League appearances last term compared to one assist in 10 Premier League matches.
Of players that made at least five appearances in the Europa League last season, only Eden Hazard (7.2) completed more dribbles per 90 than Hudson-Odoi (6.5).
