Three Perfect WhoScored Ratings In La Liga Team of the Week
There was an astonishing 41 goals split over the 10 league matches in gameweek 20 of La Liga this weekend, with Barcelona, Eibar and Real Madrid combined for 16 of those goals.
While it wasn’t particularly a good weekend for defenders, it was immensely profitable for Barcelona duo Luis Suarez and Neymar, as well as Eibar striker Sergi Enrich who all finished the GW20 with perfect WhoScored ratings (10).
For Suarez, in particular, he stole a march in the Pichichi race courtesy of his second half hat-trick to move him at least two goals clear of the chasing pack (18).
The former Liverpool striker was omitted from the Ballon d’Or ceremony in favour of Cristiano Ronaldo but now averages exactly a goal a game in league and Champions League competition this season.
Suarez is joined by Barcelona teammate Neymar, who finished third in the annual ceremony, which celebrated Lionel Messi becoming the World Player of the Year for an unprecedented fifth time.
The Brazil international scored his 16th goal of the season and also became the outright leader for assists in La Liga after chipping in with two in their 6-0 mauling of Athletic Club (9 assists overall).
Not only that, but Neymar completed at least two more dribbles than his entire team combined (6) and hit the target with 50% of his six efforts on goal (3). Moreover, only two players had more touches of the ball than Neymar at the Camp Nou (96).
Eibar striker Enrich completes the trio with perfect WhoScored ratings. The 25-year-old notched his first league goals since the start of December and also registered an assist to take his contribution to 11 league goals this season (six goal + 5 assists).
Not only that, but Enrich won five aerial duels, completed one dribble and scored with both of his shots on target in their 5-1 mauling of league strugglers Granda.
