Hojbjerg to undergo medical ahead of Tottenham switch
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will undergo a medical on Monday ahead of his Tottenham move, reports Sky Sports.
The Dane has been linked with a move to Spurs for months now and with just a year to run on his current deal, it isn't a shock to see Saints cash in on the midfielder.
Everton have also been monitoring Hojbjerg and lodged a first bid for the former Bayern man last month, which Saints agreed to.
However, Spurs look to have won the race to sign Hojbjerg for £15m plus bonuses and he will become Jose Mourinho's first summer signing.
Kyle Walker-Peters, who has impressed for Saints on the south coast following his loan arrival from Spurs in January, will make a permanent switch to St. Mary's for £12m, though the two deals aren't linked.
Hojbjerg is expected to be the first of a number of new arrivals at Spurs this summer as the north London side eye up moves for a new right-back and backup striker for Harry Kane.
Hojbjerg, 25, won possession in the midfield third more times (181) than any other player in Europe's top five leagues last season.
