Barcelona and Atletico Madrid emerge as shock suitors for Leicester ace

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have both made Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell a top transfer target this summer, reports The Sun.

Chilwell has emerged as one of the best English full-backs in the Premier League this season and has previously been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is also believed to be keen on the England international but now faces serious competition from former club Barcelona and Atletico.

Barcelona are on the market for a new left-back to provide competition for Jordi Alba and have already been mooted with a shock move for Liverpool outcast Alberto Moreno.

Atletico have made signing a left-back a priority this summer after agreeing a blockbuster €80m deal to sell Lucas Hernandez to Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Both Spanish sides are reportedly planning £50m bids for the 22-year-old and City are also expected to table an offer in the same region.

Chilwell started both matches for England during the most recent international break and has only missed two league matches for Leicester this season.
