United to sign Anderson for €60m, according to Lazio president

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has been overheard admitting he has sold Felipe Anderson to Manchester United for €60m (£46m), according to Il Messaggero, via Football Italia.

United were strongly linked with a move for the Brazil international in the January transfer window but interest appeared to have subsided when nothing came of it.

However, the rumour mill has now been driven into overdrive after Lazio’s president was overhead telling colleagues watching Salernitana’s Serie B match against Crotone that a deal had been struck.

“I signed Felipe Anderson for €8m (£6.3m) and have already re-sold him for €60m (£46m).

“Next year he’ll go to Manchester United.”

Of players to have featured in more than 15 league games since the start of last season, only Diego Perotti (22.9mins) has required fewer minutes per successful dribble than Anderson (23.7mins) in Serie A.
