Tottenham adamant that key midfielder is not for sale
Tottenham have reaffirmed that key player Eric Dier is not for sale at any price, reports the Mail on Sunday.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the England international and sounded out a potential deal earlier in the year.
United were rebuffed in their attempts to sign Dier and Spurs have once again reiterated that the 23-year-old is not for sale, while no further talks between both parties have taken place this summer.
Dier lost his regular midfield starting spot to Victor Wanyama last season, but still went on to make 34 Premier League starts, be it at centre-back or in the middle of the park.
The former Sporting Club man is highly regarded by head coach Mauricio Pochettino, with his versatility an added bonus to the Argentine.
Pochettino is keen to keep the core of his squad together, but realises that right-back Kyle Walker is set to leave for Manchester City this summer.
Spurs have been quiet in the market so far this summer and are one of only two Premier League teams yet to make a signing in the off season.
