Borussia Dortmund have had a €15m (£11.9m) bid for Rennes starlet Ousmane Dembele rejected, according to French radio station RMC, via Get French Football.
Dembele, 18, is one of the most sought after talents in Europe at the moment after a breathtaking campaign with Ligue 1 outfit Rennes.
Bayern Munich and Liverpool are among the teams reportedly interested in signing the France Under-21 international, but Dortmund are currently leading the race to sign the teenager.
Dembele has reportedly already agreed terms with Dortmund, but Thomas Tuchel’s side are still trying to negotiate a fee with Rennes and have failed with their latest offer.
Of those aged 21 and under, no player has scored more goals across Europe’s top five leagues than Dembele (12). He has also registered five assists in his 24 league matches this season.
