Watford have confirmed that goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has signed a new deal for the Hornets.
The Brazilian is one of only two players to have played every Premier League match over the last two seasons and has signed a two-year contract for Marco Silva’s side, which ties him down to Vicarage Road until 2019.
“Watford FC is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has signed a new two-year deal with the club,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“The 36-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract which takes him through to June 2019.
“The Brazilian has made 122 appearances since joining the Hornets in 2014 and was voted Player of the Season in 2015/16, as well as winning the Players' Player award for successive seasons in 2015/16 and 2016/17.”
A consistent performer between the sticks, Gomes has made more saves (236) than any other Premier League goalkeeper in the last two campaigns.
