Leicester will rekindle their interest in Troy Deeney 12 months after failing to land the Watford captain, reports The Daily Mirror.
Deeney only signed a new five-year deal worth £50,000-a-week in the wake of Leicester’s failed £25m move for the 29-year-old last summer.
However, the Watford skipper endured a difficult season under previous manager Walter Mazzarri last season and it remains to be seen what part he will play in Marco Silva’s plans going forward.
The Foxes are ready to rest the waters for Deeney this summer and there is a feeling Watford would be willing to part ways for a similar fee to what they turned down last summer.
In the last two Premier League campaigns only Christian Benteke (641) has won more aerial duels than Deeney (427).
