Liverpool outcast wants Sevilla move

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge wants to join Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season, reports The Daily Mail.

The 28-year-old is desperate to leave Liverpool this month in order to salvage any hopes of playing at the 2018 World Cup.

Sturridge has failed to win over Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and faces the prospect of spending the second half of the season on the bench.

Inter, Roma and Sevilla have expressed an interest in signing Sturridge on loan, but none of those sides have formally submitted an offer.

Liverpool would prefer to shift Sturridge off their books on a permanent basis but have so far failed to find any club willing to match their £30m valuation.

Sevilla are willing to loan the England international for the remainder of the season cover all of his wages, but are yet to table an offer for the forward.

Sturridge has not featured in any of Liverpool’s last nine matches since an 18-minute cameo in a 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow in the Champions League and has not travelled with the team for Monday’s match against Swansea.

The Liverpool forward has not started 15 league games in a single-season since the 2013/14 campaign where he played a direct hand in 28 goals (21 goals, seven assists) in 29 appearances.
