Tottenham target Zaha picks surprise Premier League club as dream move

Wilfried Zaha has informed his Crystal Palace teammates he is determined to leave the club this summer and join Chelsea, claims The Daily Mirror.

Despite a willingness to make Zaha the best-paid player at the club, the Ivory Coast international has rejected Palace's offer of a new contract and could even hand in a transfer request.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for the former Manchester United winger and Mauricio Pochettino wants to bolster his offensive options before Thursday's deadline.

However Tottenham have been served with a huge blow in their pursuit of the £75m-rated winger, as the the 25-year-old has his sights set on joining their London rivals Chelsea.

Maurizio Sarri’s side have reportedly had a £30m bid plus Michy Batshuayi turned down by Palace and could return to the table with an improved offer.

Zaha has developed into one of the best players in the Premier League outside the traditional ‘top-six’ clubs and is arguably now the best following Riyad Mahrez’s move to Manchester City.

Palace lost all nine Premier League matches Zaha did not start last term and would arguably have been relegated without the influence of the versatile attacker.

Only Eden Hazard (165) completed more dribbles than Zaha (119) in England’s top-flight last term. The Palace No.11 scored nine goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances.
