Spain international set for City switch

Celta Vigo star Nolito is closing in on a switch to Manchester City after agreeing a three-year deal with the Premier League side, writes Spanish publication TV3.

The 29-year-old, who is currently with the Spain squad for Euro 2016, has been strongly linked with a switch to England, with Arsenal and West Ham both reportedly interested in the past.

However, both look set to have been beaten in the race to secure his services by City, as Nolito nears a £13.8m switch to Pep Guardiola's side.

Nolito was far and away Celta Vigo's star performer last season, with the winger earning nine WhoScored man of the match awards in La Liga last season, a return bettered only by Lionel Messi (13).

Should he move to the Etihad, he will become City's second summer arrival following the capture of Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.
