Suarez leaving Messi to join Ronaldo at Juventus

Luis Suarez has reached a total agreement to join Juventus and is now discussing a way to leave Barcelona with the Spanish giants, claims BBC Sport.

Suarez has been in talks to leave Barcelona since new boss Ronald Koeman made it clear he does not form part of his plans for 2020/21.

The Uruguay international was briefly linked with a return to Ajax and money-spinning venture to MLS but has opted to move to Italy and join Serie A champions Juventus.

With Gonzalo Higuain set to leave, Juventus have earmarked Suarez as the ideal replacement after talks with Roma for Edin Dzeko reached impasse.

Andrea Pirlo's side are now set to pair Suarez up front with former Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 33-year-old has reportedly even cleared the air with Juventus centre-back Giorgio Chiellini, whom he bit at the 2014 World Cup to force a move from Liverpool to Barcelona.

Juventus have reached a complete agreement to sign Suarez and are now just waiting for the striker to secure his release from Barcelona.

Suarez has 12 months left to run on his current Barcelona contract but would be entitled to another year if he played in more than 60% of their matches in 2020/21.

Suarez is now in the process of trying to terminate his deal and is even willing to sacrifice one year's worth of compensation to speed up his release.

The Uruguyan striker is the third-highest scorer in Barcelona's history and has played a direct hand in 216 goals in 197 LaLiga appearances since joining from Liverpool in 2014.
