Palace will rival Hammers for key Hull man

Crystal Palace will rival West Ham in the race to sign Hull midfielder Robert Snodgrass, reports the Guardian.

West Ham saw a £3m bid for the Scotland international rejected on Friday, with Hull holding out for £9m, despite the player having just 18 months left to run on his current deal.

The Hammers are expected to return with an improved bid for the 29-year-old following their 5-0 humbling at the hands of Manchester City.

However, Palace boss Sam Allardyce is fan of Snodgrass and is also hoping to lure the player away from the KCOM Stadium this month.

Snodgrass has been a key man for the Tigers this season, with he scoring or assisting nine of their 17 Premier League goals this season.

Hull are confident they can command a top fee for Snodgrass, who recently turned down a three-year deal to stay at the club.

West Ham have also been linked with moves for Moussa Dembele, Scott Hogan and Jermain Defoe this past week as they look to improve their attack this month.
