Arsenal are struggling to find any suitors for Mesut Ozil this summer due to his enormous £350,000-a-week wages, reports The Daily Mail.
The Gunners are desperate to offload some of their top earners in order to free up funds for head coach Unai Emery.
Arsenal have been crippled financially by their decision to hand Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan huge contracts 18 months ago.
Ozil’s stock has diminished tremendously over the last few years and the former Germany international is no longer considered first choice at the Emirates.
Arsenal are desperate to offload the 30-year-old this summer but the north London outfit haven’t even had a formal approach from a potential suitor so far this summer.
Ozil’s current deal is not due to expire until the summer of 2021 and Arsenal are resigned to being stuck with the German next season.
The Arsenal No.10 only started 20 league matches last season, his lowest return in a Premier League campaign since joining the club from Real Madrid in 2013.
The Gunners had a better win ratio when Ozil did not start in the Premier League last season (61.1%) compared to when he did feature from the off (50%).
